Message the radiator where the stock temp sensor is? That's also the already-cooled side of the cooling system, therefore, if you run up to 230F at the track, what do you suppose the temp is before the radiator?

I actually put an aftermarket temp gauge in the coolant galleys on the backside of the heads. Temps were notably higher - my stock gauge didn't even move! My question is, do I use that 230 rule-of-thumb for this area also, or do we change the theory on max operating temperature?
